Takeoff description
Welcome to Ramnan on Andøya. From Ramnan you can take off in almost every direction. North east: Take off towards Andenes over the valley Bjørndalen and head out towards the main road. If you follow "Rambergsaksla", the ridge to NE, you can find some nice soaring and hang areas on the edge. East/South east: Take off from behind of the observatory (the higher plateau) and fly out towards Møsje. West/north west: Take off from the take off zone by the observatory and fly west towards Bleik. Watch out for turbulence and rotors by the edge of the mountain.

Telephone: 76116272, or check out www.ippc.no for updated information about opening hours etc. If the airport is closed, you can fly without any problems. - No driving up to the observatory unless given permission by local authority. - No landing on Bleik golf range. - No landing at Bjørndalen shooting range.
